Prestige Metal Supplies carry a wide range of C14500/CW118C high quality oxygen-free machining rods and flats. Our Tellurium Copper includes the careful addition of Tellurium to the copper which significantly improves the machining speed to 80% and above when compared to leaded brass making it up to four times faster machining than pure copper. Standard copper in comparison usually only reaching around 20%.

Whilst increasing machining speeds for ease, the small addition of Tellurium also only reduces the thermal conductivity slightly to around 93-94% which makes it very suitable for close-tolerance high-voltage connectors. In addition to this, Tellurium Copper also has an easy solder ability and decent levels of corrosion resistance to make it an extremely useful material for a range of demanding uses.

What is Tellurium Copper?
